Conditions of Carriage

Carriage is subject to the liability provisions of the Swiss Ordinance on Air Transport (OATr) of August 17, 2005 and, where applicable, the Montreal Convention of May 28, 1999, EU2027/1997, EU889/2002 and EU Ordinance 785/2004. Liability may be limited.

Death or injury of passengers

Zimex cannot exclude or limit its liability for damages that do not exceed 151’880 Special Drawing Rights (SDR) per passenger.

Baggage

Checked baggage: SDR 26 per kilo. Unchecked baggage: SDR 332 per passenger. Baggage and personal belongings together: 1’519 SDR per passenger.

Delay

Passengers: up to 6’303 SDR per passenger. Baggage: up to 1’519 SDR per passenger. Cancellations and delays are handled under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 where its requirements are met.

Notification of damage

Damage to checked baggage must be reported in writing within seven days of acceptance; delayed baggage within 21 days of handover. Claims must be brought within two years.

Special carriage

Sick passengers, unaccompanied minors, pregnant women, persons with disabilities and others needing assistance must be arranged with the booking tour operator at least 48 hours before departure.

Applicable law

Swiss law, unless another law is mandatory.
